Crypto exchanges in Germany

Exchanges observed quoting EUR, and the regulatory position where we can cite a primary source for it.

Availability is evidence, not a regulatory claim. Where we say an exchange quotes EUR, that is a fact we observed from the exchange’s own public market data. Where the regulator column is blank, it means we have not verified it against a primary register — not that the exchange is unlicensed. Absence of a claim is never a claim. General information only. Nothing on Coinformant is financial product advice, and it does not consider your objectives, financial situation or needs. Crypto assets are volatile and high-risk. Consider whether they are right for you and seek licensed advice.

Licensing in Germany

MiCA applies. Crypto-asset service providers need authorisation.

Regulation (EU) 2023/1114 on Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) establishes a harmonised EU regime. Crypto-asset service providers must be authorised in a member state and can then passport across the EU. Stablecoin issuance is separately regulated.
